Steamroller Print Project in Maui

For two weeks in October I was invited to Maui as an Artist in Residence.  During that time I carved a 4'x 8' woodcut, while the public could come and watch and learn more about the project.  I then taught a workshop on carving large blocks. All this was leading up to the momentous event which I had been working to organize for the past several months called "BIG INK".   Over 200 students from various schools carved blocks of varying sizes which were all printed with the steamroller, in addition to all the 4'x8' full scale blocks and a host of other blocks by artists from the workshop and the community.
The tricky part is not getting ink on your lei.
